B-Secur announced the launch of the FDA-cleared next generation ECG cloud-based platform for use across Holter monitors, wearables and implantable devices.

According to a company press release, the cloud-based software (HeartKey 2.0) reduces ECG signal noise, improving ECG interpretation for clinicians and facilitating the trend towards remote cardiac monitoring.

The software provides a range of FDA-cleared health algorithms and actionable wellness insights and was unveiled at Heart Rhythm 2022 in San Francisco.

The reduced signal noise reduces the potential for false positives and the requirement for repeat testing, according to the release.

“With the pandemic causing a groundswell of popularity in the use of wearable devices, HeartKey 2.0 provides medical grade health and wellness data for consumers,” Andrew Mitchell, BM, MRCP, MD, FESC, FACC, FCRP, FEHRA, FEACVI, consultant cardiologist at Jersey General Hospital in Saint Helier, Jersey, U.K., said in the release. “As we see companies who would traditionally be medical device makers move into the consumer sector and vice-versa, the development of HeartKey 2.0 creates a launchpad for an even greater and faster convergence of consumer and medical tech.”
