Josan, who was previously at Stanford Health System, is a noninvasive cardiologist and one of the developers of CardioClick, a telehealth CVD prevention program that has improved patient engagement and cardiometabolic risk factors.

Josan’s research interests include creating a comprehensive care model for cardiometabolic disease and improving the CV health of patients treated for cancer, according to the release.

“I get to see a very diverse patient population and a variety of clinical conditions on a day-to-day basis,” she said in the release. “It keeps the work exciting and interesting.”

Cho, who recently completed his cardiology fellowship training and PhD in biomedical and translational science at Cedars-Sinai, is studying how to use cell therapy to regenerate myocardial cells, reduce arrhythmias and improve heart function in patients with HF with preserved ejection fraction.

He has studied under Eduardo Marbán, MD, PhD, executive director of the Smidt Heart Institute and the Mark S. Siegel Family Foundation Distinguished Professor.

“Dr. Marbán inspired me to become a physician-scientist who can link science and medicine,” Cho said in the release. “I am honored to have this renowned scientist in heart rhythm disorders and heart regeneration as my mentor.”
