SLACK Incorporated wins ASHPE Awards

THOROFARE, N.J. — SLACK Incorporated has garnered three awards in the annual American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) competition.
The awards, in three categories, are:
- HemOnc Today — Feb. 10, 2012 article “Beyond increased risk: Obesity hinders cancer diagnosis, treatment” won the Silver Award for best single news article.
- Cardiology Today’s Intervention — September/October 2012 article “Inside TAVR” tied for the Bronze Award for best opening page/spread: photo.
- Healio.com/Infectious Disease — November 2012 article “Highlights from HIV11 Congress” won the Bronze Award for best online news coverage.
ASHPE recognizes outstanding editorial and design excellence and achievement in health care publications. The annual competition provides an opportunity for editors and designers to measure their efforts and publications against the best the health care sector has to offer.
