PARK CITY, Utah — Speakers covered a range of topics on the first day of the Association of PAs in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Annual Allergy, Asthma & Immunology CME Conference.
These included the future of asthma treatment, the cutting edge in eosinophilic esophagitis care, how to handle patient complaints and more.
“We had excellent topics and discussions on the role of allergy in asthma,” Gabriel Ortiz, PA-C, MPAS, DFAAPA, treasurer and cofounder of the association, told Healio.
Ortiz also cited emerging information pertaining to eosinophilic esophagitis, an overview on immune deficiencies and legal issues pertaining to difficult relationships with patients as highlights of the day’s schedule.
“We’re looking forward to tomorrow with another really good list of topics,” Ortiz said.
