Leading specialists in allergy, asthma and immunology have formed Healio Allergy/Asthma’s Peer Perspective Board to help guide coverage and provide their expert take on the latest advances in the field.

Members of the board have years of experience treating patients with asthma, food and drug allergies, allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps, chronic urticaria and eczema, eosinophilic esophagitis, primary immunodeficiency and more. Their knowledge and expertise will help inform our coverage and support Healio’s ongoing mission to select and tailor news and education for the practicing physician.

Anagnostou is a professor of pediatrics in the division of immunology, allergy and retrovirology at the Baylor College of Medicine. She also is the director of the Food Immunotherapy Program and Food Challenge Program, codirector of the Food Allergy Program and lead for Adolescent Transition for Allergy at Texas Children’s Hospital. She is the vice chair of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Food Allergy Committee as well.

Bansal is an allergist and immunologist at Asthma and Allergy Wellness Center in St. Charles, Illinois, and a member of the faculty at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. She serves as co-chair of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Practice Management Workshop and chair of its Communication Oversights Committee. She also is a member of the AAAAI COVID-19 Task Force and the AAAAI Board of Directors. In addition, she serves as a delegate for the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology House of Delegates.
