Meet the Editor

Edward S. Kim, MD, MBA, FACP, FASCO initiated Learn Genomics , and later assumed leadership of Learn ImmunoOncology in 2018.

Dr. Kim is the Physician-in-Chief at City of Hope Orange County, where he is developing a cancer center of the future in Irvine, California. He also serves as the Vice Physician-in-Chief at City of Hope National Medical Center. A national expert in molecular prognostication, he is uniquely qualified to educate our users in these two niche areas. Dr. Kim’s specialty is in lung, head and neck cancers, and he has served as principal or co-principal investigator on many studies and protocols, authoring more than 200 articles, chapters, and reviews. His research has influenced several recent advances in earlier detection of cancers and personalized medicine.

He also leads the ASCO-FOCR Modernizing Clinical Trial Eligibility effort which has led to greater inclusivity in clinical trials. Dr. Kim is also a board member of HemOnc Today

Jennifer Benbow, PhD, CCRP, is a scientific project manager at City of Hope in Orange County, California, working with Dr. Kim. Her expertise is in molecular and cell biology. Previously, she worked at Levine Cancer Institute and Atrium Health as a scientific writer, oncology research coordinator, and research scientist.
