Activity Description

Techniques and technologies that offer improved visual acuity and enhanced quality of life continue to evolve for patients undergoing cataract and refractive surgery. New developments in surgical methodologies, laser vision correction techniques, and lens-based procedures seek to further enhance visual and refractive outcomes while optimizing safety. With major advancements in cataract and refractive surgery presented during annual scientific meetings, it can be challenging to review and implement them into practice. In this CE activity, experts in the field review the latest information pertaining to the digital integration of medical and surgical eye care and evaluate advances in biometry, as well as intraocular lens power calculations and platforms presented during recent annual scientific meetings.

Target Audience

The intended audience for this activity is ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients undergoing cataract and/or refractive surgery.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

• Examine the latest information pertaining to the digital integration of medical and surgical eye care.
• Summarize advances in biometry as well as IOL calculations and platforms.
