Activity Description

In this case-based Curbside Consult, Drs. Richard Elion and Seble Kassaye discuss a case of a 33-year-old man with well-controlled HIV during the era of COVID-19.


Target Audience

The intended audience for this activity is infectious disease specialists, internists, pharmacists, and other health care professionals involved in the management of patients with HIV.


Learning Objectives

Recognize the challenges of treating HIV during the COVID-19 era and strategies that can improve the care of patients during this period.

It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Participants who opt-in by providing their ABIM ID and DOB (MM/DD) will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.

This program is acceptable for 0.5 contact hour of ACPE Continuing Education Credit. The ACPE Universal Program Number 0482-0000-22-044-H02-P is effective 12/12/2022. This is a knowledge-based activity, and there is no fee to attend.

How to Participate in This Activity and Obtain CME Credit

To participate in this CME activity, you must read the learning objective, answer the polling and pretest questions, view the content, and complete the posttest and evaluation. Provide only one (1) correct answer for each question. A satisfactory score is defined as answering 100% of the posttest questions correctly. Upon receipt of the completed materials, if a satisfactory score on the posttest is achieved, Vindico Medical Education will issue an AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ certificate or Statement of Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit.
