Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors are a class of oral medications that act primarily through blockade of the angiotensin converting enzyme.

Aldosterone antagonists (spironolactone, eplerenone) also known as “potassium sparing diuretics” block the action of aldosterone inhibiting the reuptake of sodium and water.

Eplerenone is an aldosterone antagonist, also known as a “potassium sparing diuretic.”
