Right Coronary Artery (RCA)

The right coronary artery arises from the right coronary cusp and is the dominant coronary vessel in 80% of individuals (dominance refers to the coronary vessel that supplies the posterior descending artery).

The right coronary artery supplies the inferior myocardial segments as well as the right ventricle. In a majority of cases, the right coronary artery also supplies the SA node and the AV node.
