Mitral Clip

The MitraClip is a device that can be inserted surgically or percutaneously to treat severe mitral valve regurgitation that is functional in etiology (from annular dilation).

This device clips the anterior and posterior leaflets together creating dual mitral valve orifices. Mitral stenosis is a possible complication.
