Minoxidil
Minoxidil is a direct arterial vasodilator and is used for the treatment of hypertension.
Unlike hydralazine which has a similar mechanism of action, minoxidil has not been studied for the treatment of systolic congestive heart failure.
Minoxidil can cause abnormal hair growth and was originally used for this purpose marketed under the name Rogaine.
