Holiday Heart

Holiday heart is the term used to describe atrial fibrillation that occurs in a structurally normal heart after binge alcohol drinking.

The term “holiday heart” is used since this commonly occurs when an individual usually does not consume alcohol, then attends an event where a large amount is consumed such as during a holiday party (New Year’s).
