Symplicity HTN-2 Trial

Summary: Evaluated renal sympathetic denervation versus no treatment in patients with blood pressure > 160 mmHg despite 3 antihypertensive medications.  The primary endpoint of systolic blood pressure at 6 months was significantly reduced (33 mmHg on average). Blood pressure was reduced by 14 mmHg on average during ambulatory monitoring.
