Question 6/28
Which aortic valve cusp is most commonly and least commonly fused in patients with bicuspid aortic valve?
The most commonly fused leaflets are the left and right coronary cusps followed by the right and noncoronary cusps and rarely the left and noncoronary cusps. There is debate as to differing clinical significance and etiology of these variations of a bicuspid aortic valve, however likely no hemodynamic difference exists.
