Glenohumeral Joint and Rheumatoid Arthritis

A: Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory disease of the synovium that causes synovial hyperplasia and disabling erosive arthritis. Progression of the disease involves the entire glenohumeral joint and surrounding structures, including the bone, acromioclavicular joint, subacromial bursa and rotator cuff tendons.
