Susan M. Rapp

Rapp (retired) was a medical journalist and editor. She received her BA in Communications with specialization in Journalism from Seton Hall University.

 

Rapp was in medical publishing at Healio (formerly known as SLACK Incorporated) since 1997. She was executive editor of Healio/Orthopedics Today and previously was executive editor of Healio/Orthopaedics Today Europe. Rapp’s writing focus was orthopedics in her various writing positions at Healio, where she has also wrote for the ophthalmology and infectious disease specialties. During her career, Rapp wrote/edited in the fields of engineering, aerospace and computer sciences.

 

Her writing was recognized by the International Osteoporosis Foundation-Alliance in 2003; the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society Robert J. Joplin Science Writers Award in 2000; and multiple times by the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence.
