Rob Volansky

Rob Volansky is a medical journalist and senior staff writer for Healio Rheumatology and Healio Psoriatic Disease. He received a BA in English from Loyola University in Baltimore in 1997 and completed an MFA in creative writing from Rutgers University – Camden in 2014.

Volansky has covered specialties ranging from pediatric infectious diseases and cardiology to hematology/oncology and endocrinology, with more than a decade in medical publishing. He started at Healio in early 2008.

In addition to being part of several APEX award winning publications, Volansky has developed positive working relationships with physicians, researchers and media personnel across the landscape of medicine in the U.S. and abroad.

Outside of work, Volansky enjoys singing and playing guitar in his band, as well as spending time getting into adventures with his wife and two small children.
