Souza is the co-director at the Center for Esophageal Diseases at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, co-director for the Center for Esophageal Research at Baylor Scott & White Research Institute and an adjuct professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine. Souza additionally serves as a council chair for the American Gastroenterological Association.
