Matthew Shinkle

Shinkle is a medical journalist and editor. He is an online content editor with Healio’s hematology/oncology team.

Shinkle received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Waynesburg University, with a major in sports broadcasting/sports information and a minor in journalism.

Before joining Healio, Shinkle worked as a newspaper reporter and sports editor for 4 years, covering numerous municipalities throughout southern New Jersey.

Shinkle is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys playing baseball on weekends through the South Jersey Men’s Senior Baseball League. Connect with him on LinkedIn here.
