As a child, I loved the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books, then TV shows like “Dragnet” and “Murder She Wrote.” I devoured Agatha Christie’s works and read all Patricia Cornwell that was put to pen. “Homicide Life on the Streets” and then “Law and Order” with their myriad of spinoffs kept me plied with entertainment. I realized the connection long ago when asked why I practice primary care pediatrics.
