Katie Kalvaitis

Kalvaitis is a medical journalist and editor. She received her BA in Communications and Journalism from Rowan University.

Kalvaitis has been in medical publishing since 2006. She is a Senior Editorial Director at Healio, focusing on cardiology, endocrinology and women’s health. Over the past decade, she has written and overseen news coverage in various other medical specialties, including pulmonology, infectious diseases and pediatrics. Before joining Healio, Kalvaitis spent her time in local newsrooms and TV news stations.

Her work has been recognized by the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) and APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. She also received the North American Menopause Society Media Award for expanding the knowledge and understanding of women’s health.
