Olayiwola is chair and professor of the department of family and community medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is an international expert, researcher, leader and organizer on women’s empowerment, racial/ethnic and gender equity, and health equity. She is the founder of the national Minority Women Professionals (MWPs) are MVPs professional development program to empower and equip MWPs in health care and other professions.
