In order to be purposeful, data must be analyzed, interpreted and used to improve patient care. Exploring the associations among different pieces of information derived from large and diverse datasets to enable intelligent and informed decisions is now possible with the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI).

Patients with anemia in the setting of end-stage renal disease commonly require treatment with an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent. Therapeutic options for the management of anemia have expanded with the development of new formulations of erythropoiesis-stimulating agents.
