Lackland is professor of epidemiology and neurology, director of the division of translational neurosciences and population studies in the department of neurology, director of the masters of science in clinical research program at Medical University of South Carolina, past president of the World Hypertension League and member of the American Heart Association EPI and Stroke Council.
