Clarke D. Newman, OD, FAAO, FBCLA, FSLS, FNAP

Newman is a private practitioner in Dallas, Texas. He specializes in medically necessary and specialty contact lens prescribing and in corneal disease. He is a Fellow of the American Optometric Academy and a diplomate in the Section on Cornea, Contact Lenses, and Refractive Technologies, and is the immediate past chair of the section. He is also the chair of the AOA Federal Relations Committee, past president of the Texas Optometric Association, and the consumer advocate for the FDA Medical Devices Advisory Committee—Ophthalmic Devices Panel.
