Chowdhury Ferdous, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and a fellowship-trained obesity medicine specialist. She works as an associate physician in Geisinger Medical Center’s department of nutrition and weight management. Her philosophy in weight loss is optimizing lifestyle changes and introducing pharmacotherapy as soon as appropriate. She is an internationally recognized speaker on weight management and the pillars of obesity management. Her recent research focuses on obesity and severe COVID-19 illness. She is a member of the Speakers Bureau of Obesity Medicine Association and works as a mentor for physicians who are interested in the field of obesity medicine.
