Actively engaged with The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), the OMA, The Obesity Society, the Obesity Care Advocacy Network and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Shetye’s vision is to slow the growing trajectory of the obesity epidemic. She has walked hand-in-hand with OAC members at Capitol Hill to raise congressional support for the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act.
