Recurrent episodes of confusion
A 54-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with dizziness, slurred speech and weakness six hours following a noontime meal. She appeared mildly confused and lethargic. A capillary blood glucose level was 12 mg/dL. Her symptoms resolved after the intravenous administration of one ampule of D50.
