Alan L. Epstein, MD, is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and an attending physician and chief of rheumatology at Pennsylvania Hospital, both in Philadelphia, where he has a private practice in clinical rheumatology. He is also a member of the medical policy committee at United Rheumatology.
